Winford Bilingual Primary School Leiden is searching for a Native English Teacher!

We are uniquely located a stone’s throw away from Leiden Central Station. Winford Leiden used to be Instituut Vrijbergen, which was one of the first private schools in The Netherlands. 

Our students will be taught in both the Dutch and English language, with two teachers per classroom. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic team to start our bilingual education team.  

The school has the following specific characteristics:  

• Small-scale school in modern city building on the Rijnsburgerweg.  
• We follow the Dutch and UK Curriculum 
• Two teachers per combination group (one English-speaking and one Dutch-speaking) 
• Groups of max. 20 students  
• Dutch and international students  
• Warm lunches and healthy snacks 
• Flexible holidays for both teachers and students.  

Can you already see yourself working for us? That's great, because we are looking for a DUO/Nuffic qualified teacher for the combination group 1-4. In addition, we are looking for that one teacher who:  

• Has a teaching qualification for primary/elementary education (if possible with Montessori and IPC experience.) 
• PABO or Academic PABO 
• Enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues 
• Creates a stimulating and challenging learning environment in which students feel valued and motivated.  
• Can work purposefully, thematically and systematically, in close collaboration with the Dutch-speaking colleague in your shared classroom 
• Enthusiastic and structured with planning 
• Able to apply ICT in educational activities and guide children thematically
